Synergy's House: Our plan and your chance to win some extra Gil

Free Company Housing - Overview

You may have read it by now, but the FFXIV will have an elaborate housing system coming out on patch 2.1. Initially, only Free Companies can buy houses and they actually do serve a purpose other than spending our gil. According to Naoki Yoshida, it'll be possible to customize the house we buy and FCs that do so can earn a variety of bonuses including +25% exp, crafting related bonuses and some other things. Coupled with the Free Company bonuses we get from using the FC Credits system, this should be a great way to step up everyone's game.

Housing will be implemented on patch 2.1 (which is supposedly coming out by the end of the year), but the thing is: according to Yoshi-P, housing will cost a LOT of gil. It has been said that in order to buy a medium sized plot of land you will need to spend the equivalent of leveling a class to 50 on quests three times and put all the gil you earned into your house. So even though we don't have exact prices, from that sentence you can tell it'll be expensive. The prices can go up or down according to demand and size of the plot too.

With that in mind, Caleo and I came up with a simple system to get everyone interested onboard to build the gil needed quickly before the Housing system is actually implemented.

We'll be organizing a raffle FC-wide where you can buy a number for the price of 1000 gil (that's 1k) and have a chance of grabbing [b]20% of the amount needed to buy the house[/b]. Anyone can buy as many numbers as they want, so the more you put in, the more chances you have for the "jackpot" when time comes.

We're also doing a few things to assure you that we won't steal your gil or mix it with our own:

1. All the house gil will go into our Company Chest. All of you can see it by visiting the Immortal Flames HQ in Ul'dah and clicking to view our Company Chest there.
