I was doing some investigating, since I (and I think Caleo) use multiple PC's for our gaming at different locations. The configuration data is in C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\" and in that folder is another folder for each character you have. This folder has all the addon.dat, gearset.dat etc. When things start back up I will see how portable these files are and hope they don't screw things up too badly! Then I'll work on some sort of script to create and upload to a symbolic link to like, skydrive or dropbox or something (preferred SkyDrive, since its right next to me in Tukwila, WA and Redmond, WA)
