Caleo its from interview with a vampire I believe.

Greetings all, I am jimmy ( muffnman ) in every game I play luckily and it seems I am the oldest one to post so far so will leave that blank. I am married with 2 kids and live just north of chicago.

MMO history - my main experience is playing CoX for 6 years and dabbling a little in WoW, FFXI, Star Wars TOR, DnD, and now doing beta for Fire Fall. I am not a heavy gamer and can tell you stats off the top of my head nor do I put my life into it. I game as a stress reliever once kids are asleep so hope there are other night gamers. I much rather run as a group that is in for fun not pressure. (I have a good knack for dying A LOT, so please don't hate me)

Elsewhere - I have known Caleo for over 10 years and hope to get to know many of you over the future.

Yo future FC buddies.

About: I'm Cennydd. 34-year-old Welsh dude. Currently living in Brighton UK, moving up to London in a couple of months. I work as a product designer for Twitter. My girlfriend Anna will be playing with me – I'm sure she'll make her own introduction in due course.

MMO history: Just FFXI. I was an officer of Templars of Baldur on Sylph, WHM75 BRD75 PLD61, beat some decent HNMs etc. Haven't played any MMOs since, but still play plenty of games. Borderlands 2 was pretty good.

FFXIV: Life is busy, so I shan't be taking the game on with the same self-destructive fanaticism this time around. However, I'm looking forward to playing with you all, and hopefully killing some interesting things. Starting as healer, then see what interests me. I was forced onto Cerberus during this beta, but will scrap that character and join on Leviathan once early access is open.

Other: Travel, experimental music, chess, design, Cardiff City, beer.

See you soon!

Hello peps

Myself:
RL name is Claus, and i really dont have a specific ingame name im sticking to so ill find u guys ;-) But if the beta dont get reset for early access, u can find me as Xandir Wifflebottom, (yeah i know, Drawn together ripoff. but funniest show ever.)

MMO XP:
That would be way too many years with WoW. But i have experience with Warhammer, Conan (Half a year of beta, oh sorry i meant early access, and the game itself.) ;-)
But im i bit noobish when it comes to FF online series.

My music taste, is better described with what i rarely or hate listening to… Classic music, and giro 413 music.

But hey, enough talk here we can always talk, on TS. =)

Hi.

Me
I'm currently a 29-year-old slacker college student in IT. Married, no kids. Live in Atlanta, Georgia.

MMOs

tl;dr: I'm a 14 year veteran of MMOs, I've played pretty much every major western release and every role, a few of them "hardcore." I'm a min/maxer, but not a dick about it.

I've been playing MMORPGs since joining EverQuest in April of 1999. I have a bookshelf I refer to as my "Hall of Shame" that houses all surviving MMO game boxes. EverQuest, Dark Ages of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes/Villains, Horizons, Final Fantasy XI, EverQuest II, World of WarCraft, Guild Wars, Vanguard, Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2 and various expansions for many of these games have a home on this shelf. Not included are games I only own digitally like Champions Online and RIFT that I bought at launch but not physically. I have XIV 1.0 from a friend's CE friend code invite that automatically upgraded to a full account because they were that desperate to get people in, heh.

I tend to hit MMOs hard and I am a min/maxer type player, however I'm not an elitist min/maxer that gets all upity if someone's "doing it wrong." I only really care about reaching peak performance for myself.

The MMOs that I spent the most time in are EQ, FFXI, and WoW. EQ being my first, I could never settle down on a single character and played a whole bunch of stuff to a wide range of levels (some of the classes multiple times with better hand me down gear every time). Closest thing to a main was my Iksar Monk.

XI was the first MMO I really got focused on and initially played on Odin as a Dragoon up to 60 with a 30 Samurai sub before the infamous TP nerf. I pretty much had one day to experience the joys of DRG/SAM Penta Thrust spam before going on vacation only to come home just after the nerf patch went live. At that point I swapped over Ninja tank. Hit 75, did some HNM stuff on it, Dynamis, etc. Had most jobs around 40, a few to 60+, and eventually during random re-subscription windows, Bard and Thief managed to hit 75 in the ToA era.

WoW I initially started sometime during vanilla (too hooked on XI to leave at launch, tried EQ2 before going back to XI for a bit and then finally caved on picking up WoW). I ended up main Rogue (melee DPS) in Vanilla in a strict 20 man guild focused on ZG and AQ20. When TBC hit I swapped to Hunter (ranged DPS) and ended up being a much more dedicated player. Joined a new guild and throughout the entire expansion and we worked from Karazhan through to Sunwell together. With WotLK I swapped main to Death Knight (melee DPS), though after TBC I pretty much buy a new expansion at launch, play for a month or two, and then get bored.

In RIFT I as among the top few people to level cap for my server. I grouped up with some of the other fast 50s and we got the server firsts for half of the Hard mode instances in direct competition with another static hard mode group (we ended up getting the meta for full hard mode completion iirc). Unfortunately, I disliked how heavily the game felt anti-melee in dungeon content, especially hard modes, and felt even more disappointed with the balance of risk versus reward when they rather heavily nerfed the plaque drop rates early on hoping to slow people down for retention. For my hard mode running group it had the opposite effect and we all ended up leaving the game.

SWTOR I played as an Assassin tank, again a fast level cap, but this time actually waited around for friends and in the mean time managed to get an Imperial Agent healer up to 50 and heal all the hard modes on it, and a Jedi Sentinel to mid-40s before our raid crew was finally all ready to go. We raided with me main tanking once and some of them (notably our second tank and one of my closest friends) weren't impressed so we faded out from there. This is pretty much the standard MMO story these days, same as WoW expansions–get to level cap, clear available content, decide that it's pretty much the same junk I've been doing since 2005 with a different skin, get bored, leave.

Other
I can just about listen to any music as background noise but the only stuff I really follow is Japanese indie rock stuff. An example that may be more familiar to some would be the second end credit theme to Attack on Titan. Song is by the band Cinema Staff that I've been following for awhile now.

Hi, RL name is Charles. I'm a 3102 Survivor and met a few of you through hanging out on Ultima.

About me: I do a sudo-IT Admin job. The hours can sometimes be odd but it lets me slack off a lot. My spare time tends to be spent reading or playing games. I tend to get hooked on the crafting in games more than the gameplay.

MMOs: I started out long ago on EQ. I've hit about all of them since and just recently gave up on Rift after f2p went into effect. I'm oft times a healer or a tank. I just seem to fall into the roles.

Hey all. RL name is Vinny. It was awesome meeting you all, and I'm promptly ordering a new headset because my old one crapped out…I really wanted to talk to you all via Teamspeak. Oh well.

About me: I'm a full-time event coordinator for a portable-massage company. It's the usual 9-5 job Monday-Friday, but I get off early on Friday and I get the weekends completely off. I'm an avid FFXIV player, and I play Yu-Gi-Oh competitively, just recently making the top 64 cut in North America.

MMOS: Only FFXI. I was a BLM for 7 years, getting BLM 80, WHM 80. I made sure I knew the exact amount of hate that was generated by major enemies, getting my Relic gear as quickly as I could, and manaburning to PL as fast as I could. I made many friends and rivals in that game, and I can't wait to become another top BLM in FFXIV!

Hope to see you all in-game!

Hey guys. Met some of you on Ultima last night during the 3102 epidemic. Loved the atmosphere in the 3102 Survivors link shell and decided to roll a new character on Levi so could be with you guys.

I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia and I am serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. So dont be suprised if I vanish for months on end, Ill try n give you some warnings before I disappear :P

For MMO's I was playing football in highschool and broke my collar bone, couldnt do much so picked up this game called EverQuest and it was all down hill from their, played everquest until started playing World of Warcraft beta, switched over to that and played until last exspansion. Have also played SW:TOR, Never Winter, and FFXI (found it to slow but love FF series). I have played ever Final Fantasy game that I know of to date, with my favorite being FF3 (or 6) and Tactics.

Seeya on the 24th !
