About me
Hello everyone! I'm Vice, but you can call me Vincent as well. Though neither is my real name, that's how most of my friends identify me. I'm a 27-year old Brazilian freelancer consultant working in the digital marketing industry for nearly 4 years. I was born in the northeast region, though nowadays I'm living in São Paulo, one of the world's biggest metropolis.

I'm a veteran MMORPG player, and my previous experiences include 2 years of Ragnarok Online on iRO Loki server and 2 years of Final Fantasy XI (on Sylph server). I played WoW for a few months when the Burning Crusade was released, but that was very casually. Always the tanker, always a Paladin. Come FFXIVARR and I will be trying the other tank job: Warrior. I tried Marauder during Beta Phase 3 and fell in love with it. :)

Oh and I didn't play FFXIV 1.0 because it never came out on the PS3, back then my PC just couldn't run it either.

What I like
I enjoy listening to jazz, trip hop, nu jazz, house music, videogame music and some bossa nova. In fact, I love music so much so that I'm actually studying how to produce my own sounds. So far it's a hobby, but who knows what will happen after I master it.

Other pastimes include: traveling, walking around the city photographing (I love exploring, but I'm not a professional photographer by any means!), gaming (of course) and writing.

Meeee:
Online I try to maintain just a single nickname, Prongsaur. I'm not very good at it, though. I'm a "real life" old friend of our fearless leader (see what I did here?), back from high school times. Currently I'm a PhD student, writting my Thesis about Pterosaurs - those damned flying reptiles, which everybody persists calling dinosaurs. Because of that, I tend to travel a lot, and sometimes spend a few weeks away from everything internet-related.

MMO stuff:
I started playing MMO's back on Ragnarok Online, around 2004ish, but never went full hardcore. After that, I had some pleasure time with WoW, and WAR. Usually I'm the healer, since nobody wants to be him. Coincidently, that's the role where I'm less dreadful, so that's okay for me. I'm a very patient and cool-head guy, so I'm fine with all my so-called "friends" mocking my m4d healing sk1llz.

Do's:
I really enjoy playing video games (or, more accurately, hoarding them), reading (almost everything, really) and watching movies/series. A pretty boring life, you can see. I also like traveling (thanks PhD scholarship!) and visiting museums. Really, museums. Yeah.

Don't's:
I really hate waking up early in the morning. Oh, and traffic. But I'm usually okay with a lot of annoying stuff!

About:

I use "Nalessa" for female characters, and "Neritai" for male/genderless pretty much everywhere online. I'm a 29-year-old software/systems engineer in the US.

I literally have an award-winning beard.

MMORPG experience:

I played RO for a while in beta and shortly after release, then picked up FFXI (Sylph, TemplarsOfBaldur) and stuck with it for a few years. Played WoW during Burning Crusade for a bit, but never got super into it. Played Eve pretty seriously for a few years, as well (Gallente carrier pilot, although my role was primarily as teacher/squad leader). Nullsec politics and warfare was fun, but it took too much time and was too serious. Gate-camping kind of sucked.

More recently, I still play LotRO (Elendilmir) with my fiance. It's a pretty fun game, but the server populations are getting to be too low. We mostly just duo (she kills things, I make sure we don't die. No tank ftw). LotRO's primary healer (minstrel) is, amusingly, one of the better solo classes.

I've played a couple of the FTP games, but they're mostly terrible.

I usually play healers or solo, because that's what I enjoy.

Other likes:

I run a weekly hardcore music webcast with a friend. He plays UK/happy hardcore, I play Dutch or J-core (I don't play all that often, it's mostly his show). I'm pretty into danmaku shmups, although I'm not very good, ha. I also do civil war reenacting, beer brewing, disc golf, watch anime, and have way too many cats. I run a weekly board gaming group and play Pathfinder.

I am a 25 year of student of biology (writing my master atm), I live in Denmark, the land of bacon, beer and.. lots of stuff I shouldn't name here ;) and I'm furry and a RPGer

MMO:

my MMORPG experiance, I played FF XI for 6 years, and was at a point even a short therm leader before RL kicked my ass. I got about 450 -days- of pure in-game time, no afk-ing. played a bit of lineage 2, perfect world (the JP MMO). eve-online for a few years. hm.. think that is it ^^

Other likes:

Trying to learn to play the guitar, been doing martial arts for a few years, I LOVE cooking and some times cook for roleplaying events for up to 300 people for whole weekends. hmm I love reading books, Anita Blake is a wonderful dark supernatural series that is not for children!.

Think that's about it ^^
